Singer/songwriter Jesse Malin was the fount of the glam/hard careen ring D Generation for eight age, following the dissolving of Heart Attack, the hardcore punk act he fronted as a adolescent in the '80s. They weren't a metal banding, only critics cursorily laid-off D Generation as Johnny Thunders copycats. Their titillated hairsbreadth and calendered wardrobe were only a part of the act, merely substance and song dynasty structure were on that point. As one of New York City's more gifted acts of the nineties, the band released ternion albums ahead disbanding in April 1999. Malin, who's a tinder with a soft heart, didn't stay writing music. His lovemaking for Neil Young, Tom Waits, and Steve Earle affected his do work; he spent the succeeding iI days working on a fresh, rustic sound. Ex-Whiskeytown frontman Ryan Adams, who'd been a friend of Malin since the D Generation years, was impressed with Malin's new approaching. Adams offered to bring forth Malin's debut album even though he'd never produced a record. The two headed into Lo-Ho Studios in New York in January 2001 and made an album in only six-spot days. A carry on with Artemis shortly followed. The Fine Art of Self Destruction appeared in the U.K. in October 2002; first undivided "Queen of the Underworld" was a moderate hit and the British press quickly hailed Malin's debut as unrivaled of the year's best. Stateside fans lastly got their men on The Fine Art of Self Destruction in January 2003. Road dates followed, both in America and the U.K. Malin contributed a version of "Hungry Heart" to the benefit album Light of Day: A Tribute to Bruce Springsteen; he too picked up a nomination for the Shortlist Music Prize. By November he was back in the studio, egg laying depressed tracks for Self Destruction's followup. The Heat appeared in June 2004, attended by a string of circuit dates on both sides of the pond. Malin's third album was recorded in Los Angeles during the summer/fall of 2006, which marked his number one time making a book outside of New York (or even higher up 14th Street) during his life history. Featuring client muscae volitantes by Bruce Springsteen and Jakob Dylan, among others, Sparkle in the Gutter eventually surfaced in March 2007 via Billie Joe Armstrong's label Adeline Records. Malin worn-out most the year on the road with his championship band the Heat.

Chocolate Industries and Artist To Market Distribution (A2M) Announce Exclusive Distribution Agreement for The Cool Kids Debut Release, The Bake Sale
TROY, Mich., May 12 -- Artist To Market Distribution(A2M)
today announced it has entered into an agreement with Chicago based label,
Chocolate Industries, to be the exclusive distributor of the label's
highly-anticipated debut release from The Cool Kids, The Bake Sale. The
Bake Sale will be released on June 10th, 2008, and will carry a suggested
retail price of $9.98.
As with prior agreements, A2M provides artists, labels, and content
owners of all kinds with a streamlined and flexible supply chain solution
to both traditional and non-traditional music retail outlets, thus
bypassing the traditional music label infrastructure. This allows the album
to be offered at an attractive price to consumers, while enabling retailers
to achieve a fair profit margin.
Seven Bedard, Creative Director of Chocolate Industries, stated,
"Working with A2M will open new doors and possibilities for The Cool Kids
and Chocolate Industries, and we are looking forward to working with this
innovative company."
Paul Ignasinski, General Manager of A2M, commented, "We're beyond

Chocolate Industries staff. It's great to be involved not only with this
incredible project, but also with a group of people motivated and genuinely
excited to approach the business in a fundamentally new way. In a business
so full of pessimism and sky-is-falling attitudes, these guys are
invigorating and we at A2M hope this is just the start of a long and
fruitful relationship."
The Cool Kids are in the midst of a sold-out world tour, including
stints with M.I.A., the upcoming Rock the Bells tour, and high-profile
festival performances such as Coachella 2008, Lollapalooza 2008, and
